| | The city is swarmed with Motorycles.. (moped).. You could sit down having a beer in ur hand and enjoy the city's energy... I sat down at the Saigon Saigon bar with neat atmosphere perhaps have not changed since Vietnam war where all military men running after good times... Lots of bright red neon lights, A 40 years old Vietnamese lady worked at the bar came and wrote down on my arm with pen drew a heart with her name Rose inside it with "I love you" Then she ran around telling others about it.. It was funny... We do not have that in American, I personally think we are way uptight assholes in the States... All of my life in the States, waitress or bartenders kept their distance with too much boundaries amidst us. In here, it is all friendly and smiling that makes you really appreciate them. Last night, Bren, Jesse, Carsten (german backpackers that have been traveling with us since day 2) and I played UNO cards game in our bedroom.. Yes with drinking rules and of course I was winning all but lost once.. Poor them having to drink harder.. We went out barhopping and met backpackers that we crossed path together from Thailand or Laos. Yes we partied hard and got really drunk.. There was a group smoking weed in the bar while a Saigon policeman was standing right next to them minding his own business.. It is like if you can behave and handle it fine then it is all good.. I realized I have not seen any sirens or any bad situation.. No fighting, no bitchin around, or bad vibes since I got here... It must be something about Saigon.. Like I said There is no place like Saigon... More to come till then, |
