Hey from Laos...

                   We went to Chiang Rai then to Huay Xia to get on Mekong River.. We went on the slow boat to Luang Prabang.. It was interesting experience.. The environment is so beautiful.. Literally untouched by outsider.. The river and villages are well preserved.. Loatian ( Laos people ) spare no explanation of lacking in many things... All of the kids are so cute..  We went to Pak Beng for a night. We got a room and went to eat... The village is so small..  Gallaudet Campus is a lot bigger than Pak Beng..  We ate and went to bed since we had a long day.. We were laying down and reading a book. To our surprise that the electricity went out at 10 30 pm.   We asked around and learned that the whole village went out to save some power... So we were forced to go sleep... Luang Prabang is 2nd largest city in Laos, I believe.. We will be heading to Vientiane tomorrow...We really like Laos just because it is so different than anywhere in the world since the whole country only contain 5.9 million people... It is like a final frontier of authentic people... Our slowboat had a few stops to several villages. The kids were running toward to us and gave us some shows.. It was so funny.. I was told that just about in a decade, Laos will not be like this today due to Mekong River will be controlled by government of China so the village people will be deprived by lacking in fishes and other important things to meet their needs.. So, anyone of you who love to travel, GET BUSY....

I am done with this book.. It is amazing book...  God bless Afghans...
